Tonight: Pinewood Derby Kit Distribution and Activity Fees

Pinewood derby car kits are being distributed tonight to everyone whose $68 fall activity fee has been paid. (Only 17 of 28 people have paid). If you have not taken care of this 9/1/23 invoice please do so today or contact Phoebe (via the What’s App Group) so your Cub Scout can get their car kit.

REQUIRED YOUTH SAFETY

Third reminder that before your Cub Scout can earn awards and badges, they must complete their BOBCAT BADGE. This includes viewing https://www.scouting.org/training/youth-protection/parents-guides with their parent(s). Ideally, this should be done by the end of October (tomorrow).

OTHER CUB SCOUTS need to watch the Youth Safety videos for their grade with their parent(s):

TIGER: https://vimeo.com/325064660,

WOLF: https://vimeo.com/325064564

BEAR: https://vimeo.com/325064786

WEBELOS/AOLs: https://vimeo.com/325064315.

When you have completed Youth Safety with your child, PLEASE help us by doing the following: 1) review the new parents tutorial https://help.scoutbook.scouting.org/knowledge-base/scoutbook-tutorial-for-parents 2) log into ScoutBook.com 3) click on the link to your child’s Advancement 4) click on the rank they are working on, and 5) check the completion boxes.

While you are in ScoutBook, please help out your Den Leaders by reviewing and updating attendance, participation, awards, and any Adventure Requirements your child has completed. If you get stuck, please email committee@pack502.org and CM@pack502.com. Thank you for helping make Pack 502 excellent!

Time to update your BSA health forms

All 502 youth and adults need to have a current BSA Health form and a copy of the front and back sides of your current health insurance cards on file. If you have not submitted a new health form this fall, please fill out both Part A and Part B of this Health form and bring it to the meeting Monday. Every person attending Webloree must have these to attend.

Harrison Church Food Drive

Harrison Church’s Food Pantry needs your help! Pantry inventory is extremely low and our Loaves & Fishes supplier is struggling due to a sharp decline in donations. For 3 weeks, October 15th thru November 6th, Harrison is holding a Food Drive to help fill the on-campus pantry. This is not a scout-sponsored activity but an individual contribution to the food pantry. You can leave donations right where you come in on the first floor before you go up for the scout meeting.
Please consider bringing in any of the following items:
Canned Peaches and/or Pears
Canned Tomatoes- any variety
Pork & Beans,
Canned Soup,
Crackers,
Oatmeal – all varieties,
Grits,
Ketchup, Mustard, Mayonnaise (Dollar Tree is a great source)
Shampoo, Bar Soap,
Feminine Products, and Toilet Paper.
Thank you for donating to our neighbors in need of food!
