Upcoming Trips and 502 Summer Camps

April 12-14 is Spring Cuboree for Lions to Webelos at Camp Grimes. Map: t.ly/QReri Cost is $20 per scout which is included in the 502 activity fee. We need 2 adults for the first 8 scouts +1 adult for every 4 scouts. Lion, Tiger & siblings parents must attend. Cost is $20 per Sibling & Adult.

April 13 Saturday night at Camp Grimes is when AOL scouts receive Cub Scouting’s highest award and cross over into the Troop. This Crossover Ceremony features a huge bonfire, flaming arrows and is pretty exciting. Cub Scouts and their families who are not at Cuboree should plan to come up anytime Saturday, camp overnight, & leave Sunday after breakfast.

July 8-10 is Cub Scout Day Camp for Lions to Webelos and their siblings www.mccscouting.org/CubScoutDayCamp. We need 2 adults for first 8 scouts +1 adult for every 4 scouts. Parents of Lions, Tigers & siblings must attend. Cost is $150 per Scout or Sibling & $0 per Adult.

July 11-14, July 14-17 and July 18-21 are the Webelos Adventure Camp sessions still open to 502 Bears and Webelos www.mccscouting.org/WebelosAdventureCamp. We need 2 adults for first 8 scouts +1 adult for every extra 4 scouts. Sessions fill up fast so we need responses now. Early Bird pricing is currently $225 per scout and $125 per Adult, but will increase soon.

Please answer questions about these events on our WhatsApp polls and email CM@Pack502.org total of adults, scouts and siblings attending each of these events and your shirt sizes.

Tonight: Pinewood Derby Kit Distribution and Activity Fees

Pinewood derby car kits are being distributed tonight to everyone whose $68 fall activity fee has been paid. (Only 17 of 28 people have paid). If you have not taken care of this 9/1/23 invoice please do so today or contact Phoebe (via the What’s App Group) so your Cub Scout can get their car kit.

REQUIRED YOUTH SAFETY

Third reminder that before your Cub Scout can earn awards and badges, they must complete their BOBCAT BADGE. This includes viewing https://www.scouting.org/training/youth-protection/parents-guides with their parent(s). Ideally, this should be done by the end of October (tomorrow).

When you have completed Youth Safety with your child, PLEASE help us by doing the following: 1) review the new parents tutorial https://help.scoutbook.scouting.org/knowledge-base/scoutbook-tutorial-for-parents 2) log into ScoutBook.com 3) click on the link to your child’s Advancement 4) click on the rank they are working on, and 5) check the completion boxes.

While you are in ScoutBook, please help out your Den Leaders by reviewing and updating attendance, participation, awards, and any Adventure Requirements your child has completed. If you get stuck, please email committee@pack502.org and CM@pack502.com. Thank you for helping make Pack 502 excellent!

Time to update your BSA health forms

All 502 youth and adults need to have a current BSA Health form and a copy of the front and back sides of your current health insurance cards on file. If you have not submitted a new health form this fall, please fill out both Part A and Part B of this Health form and bring it to the meeting Monday. Every person attending Webloree must have these to attend.
