Lots of Information-Popcorn & Cub-O-Ree, Long post, Please read

Sorry for the long post tonight but we have a lot going on 🙂  Cub-O-Ree starts this Friday and we have spots available for selling popcorn this weekend if you are not going to Cub-O-Ree.  Below are a few things to be aware of.

1. We are in need of volunteers for Cub-O-Ree. For crafts you are not coming up with the craft, you just have to be available to help run the station. For lunch, it may be serving or prep-work, which shouldn’t be very difficult, we are having Chic-fil-a. I believe we may have some parking duties.  If we have plenty of volunteers, nobody should have to have a long shift. Please email marlisl@rocketmail.com that you are available.

2. If you are a day visitor or planning to leave at any time, please be aware of times the gates are open, or you will have to park at the ranger station and walk in. On Saturday if you have to park and walk in and are camping Saturday night, remember gates will open again in the evening to drop gear at camp site.

Friday Night gates close at 10:00 pm

Saturday Gates are OPEN from 6:00 am-8:00 am and from 6:00 pm- 7:00 pm

Sunday Gates open 9:15 am

3. Did I mention Health Forms?

4. NEW T-SHIRTS ARE HERE!! I will be bring to Cub-O-Ree with me and keeping a list of “credit” for those who pick up at camp site.

Cost for Cotton shirts is $10 for kids, $12 for Adults

Cost for Wicking/athletic are $15 for kids and $17 for adults

5. Pop-corn is in high gear and our pack is doing a great job! We do still have SEVERAL openings for pack tabling events and I would love to see them all filled. Please see the popcorn page on the website. Let Kelly or Ann know if you have any questions.

6. Dues/etc statements are coming. Look for them soon from your den leader. Most families are attempting to stay current on dues and it is very much appreciated. Our sincere hope is to continue having fun activities for our pack. We have such a great group.

7. Upcoming Events:

Webelo-Ree October 24-26

November Pack Camping Trip Nov 21-23, Location TBA

Popcorn Opportunities: Please see Popcorn calendar

I will leave you with a final thought. Scouting can be fun. Our pack is 100% volunteer lead. If you have time or a talent, please let us know. We can find a way to use those talents. Are you good at photography, financials, baking, juggling? Do you have a suggestion that we might be able to use?

I like to think my son’s experience in Scouts can be affected by what we, as parents, make it be.

Thank you for hanging in there with me. Please let me know if you have any questions. I will be out of town Wed & Thurs but will try to respond when able.
